First Day of 2012

Last 25th of December in 2011, I found out that I was pregnant, and my husband and I were so happy - it was the best gift that we ever had. So in celebration of the Year of the Dragon, I wanted to write about this as a keepsafe of my happy moments in the last months of 2011 and into the new year - 2012.

It was a traditional Media Noche with my husband's side of the family - round-ish fruits, ice cream, kakanin, spaghetti, ham, bread, leche flan, hotdogs, cheese, potato salad, and lots of food that I was not able to keep in track.

Lately, I've been hungrier on my more than seventh week of pregnancy. I woke up awhile ago at 4AM and shared a plate of potato salad with my husband while watching Disney Channel. Tonight, I'm munching on grapes, just an hour or two from dinner, and hungry again.

I watched "Life Before Birth" at Discovery Channel today and experience more knowledge on the wonders and mysteries of pregnancy. I'm watching and reading more information on pregnancy, since this is my first born, and of course, as a newbie mother, I'm a bit anxious on what will be done on the next trimester.

I may have to give up on a lot of things, but all of these are for our baby. Hopefully, even if you do not know me, please pray for me and for my baby. Support us by heart on getting there safely, and making it until August of 2012. :)

Happy 2012 everyone! ;)

  1. Girl, you are so lucky you are eating a lot on your first trimester. At blooming ka pa. :D I looked haggard and can only eat lettuce when I was pregnant and even lost a few pounds. But all is well when I reached the second trimester. Be safe on your pregnancy. Sign up to babycenter and the mailing list. It's filled with info and monthly updates as to what to expect during your pregnancy. :)
